Summer Film Series -- Volunteers Needed
Calling all Friends!
The Children's Services Department at the Chapel Hill Public Library needs volunteers to help with two summer film series.
The Family Movie Matinee Series will run from Friday June 16 through Friday August 18. Volunteers are needed between 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm to welcome people to the program, start the DVD, keep a head count, and prevent people from bumping the projector and/or blocking the screen. This series tends to draw a large crowd (between 80 and 100 participants). We need volunteers who are not afraid of technology and can be friendly and helpful to a big group of parents and children.
The Teen Movie Series will run every other Wednesday from June 21 through August 16. Volunteers are needed between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. This series draws a smaller crowd of older children and some parents. Again, we need volunteers to welcome people to the program, start the DVD, keep a head count, and prevent people from bumping the projector and/or blocking the screen.
This is a great opportunity to help the Chapel Hill Public Library and catch a free movie. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Michele at micheleg@email.unc.edu or at (919)929-3370.
Thank you for your very generous support of our library.
