Thursday, April 6 – Todd Sandvik
Todd Sandvik currently serves as Carrboro's Poet Laureate.
Thursday, April 13 – Jaki Shelton Green
In 2003, Jaki Shelton Green received the North Carolina Award for Literature. She teaches creative writing to marginalized populations including the homeless, the newly literate, and the incarcerated. Her most recent collection of poems, Breath of the Song, Selected and New Poems, was released in August 2005.
Thursday, April 20 – Michael Chitwood
Michael Chitwood is now a free-lance writer living in Chapel Hill. He is the author of three books of poetry and a regular commentator on WUNC. His book reviews and articles have appeared in several local newspapers and magazines.
Poetry Workshops

FOR TEENS Shirlette Ammons of the ArtsCenter will lead a series for teens ages 14 to 17. Participants will meet on three Monday evenings, April 3rd, 10th, and 17th, from 7:00 until 8:30 pm.
FOR ADULTS Poet Andrea Selch will conduct an evening workshop for adults age 18 and up on Wednesday, April 5th from 6:30 until 9:00.
FOR SENIORS Carrboro poet Maggi Grace will lead a workshop for seniors age 55 and up on Thursday morning, April 27, from 10 until 11:30 am.
