Book Sales
Oversees all aspects of the regular quarterly book sales. Recruits and assigns volunteers as needed to assist with sales. Board Liaison: Virginia Powell
Hospitality
Arranges refreshments for Meet-the-Author Teas and other functions if needed. Board Liaison: Eleanor Engel
Investments
Invests the financial assets of the Friends in a manner designed to maximize return while preserving both capital and liquidity. Board Liaison: Ray Carpenter
Membership
Oversees the solicitation of new members, processes new membership applications and maintains the current Friends membership file. Committee members work with Executive Committee to create membership drives and incentives. Board Liaison: open
Newsletter
Writes, edits and publishes a regular newsletter that provides Friends membership with information about programs and activities, in addition to timely information about the Library and its programs. Board Liaison: Martha Brunstein
Nominating
Solicits and recommends new Friends Board members and prepares the annual officer and Board member slate for approval at the annual meeting. Board Liaison: Karen Curtin
Programs
Beyond the Books—suggests and implements a varied selection of concerts, lectures and film screenings. Board Liaison: Dani Brecher
Book Discussions ("Books Sandwiched In")—selects and facilitates discussion of noteworthy works of fiction and non-fiction. Board Liaison: Nancy Dixon
Meet-the-Author Teas—arranges for readings and discussion by published authors. Board Liaison: Jonathan "Max" Eckhard
Publicity
Creates and disperses News Releases relating to Friends and activities, including programs, special events and used book sales. Additional responsibilities of committee members include providing support material for programs as needed. Board Liaison: Rodger Harris
Web Site
Designs and maintains the Friends web site and events calendar to provide timely information on Friends activities. Board Liaison: Bob Schreiner
